I was at the show also. The Sacramento show is small compared to the major shows but it's always nicely done - I go every year. If you live close enough to attend the SOS show, be sure to go the the Pacific Orchid Exposition in San Francisco next spring - it's a monster of a show & always a great time. I plan vacations around it.

I got a C. Summer Spot 'Carmela' - I'd been eyeing one for a while. The displays were beautiful - did you see the best in show? What a stunning Paph!

Helen, I checked out this forum to see what responses you received. You might want to repost and make the "Subject of Posting" more specific to questions about taking care of your new odon. orchid --- maybe even with its name in the subject heading. The FAQ section here also has good tips on care, watering and light requirements. I'd caution you about looking in the Orchid Gallery, though. That's a dangerous place ---- might just send you out looking for more! Molie
