Name That Plant!

Help identifying purple flowering shrub

I just purchased a house with amazing perennial gardens and I haven't a clue on how to prune any of the bushes. I need to transplant these shrubs, but I would like to prune them before they are transplanted. Can anyone identify it for me?

Spirea bumalda ? its a kind of a shot in the dark since its so far away though... Get a closeup if you can, even without the flowers is fine.

The one on the general market these days that looks like it is this (at link, below; other web sites have more pictures). If you are actually interested in getting one for yourself and don't want to hunt down something at a specialist nursery, the Monrovia offering might be present at any independent garden center near you that buys from them. In my area this shrub is currently standing out in nursery sales yards. Once it goes out of bloom, not so much. Thanks for the request for more info to help out. I have identified it was a variety of spirea!
