Try the Deerfield Beach Arboretum, I can give you the nickel tour. Also in Palm Beach is the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden. If you like natural areas, there are plenty of them in parks in both Broward and Palm Beach. The American Orchid Society in DelRay. Next door is the Morikami Museum and garden. If you want to go to Miami, there is Fairchilds Garden.

I can't find a 25 gallon tree form wax myrtle in the nurseries in Davie and I know there are tons of tree farms in Delray. I need installation but the landscaping companies mark up their plants too much so I need to go to grower. Thx Gina

Hi Depends on your soil. I grow mine in large pots sunk into my sand lol How do you want to grow them?? They will become trees eventually so I follow the normal GH regimen of pruning keeping them under 3 feet. Tree form makes a fantastic display though. My red tends to flower at thankgiving while the whites and pinks are right on at mid winter They are very brittle and do get a few caterpillars but the brachts last from thanksgiving to around easter depending on the weather be sure they have good drainage as they rot easily If other things grow in your soil I'd go ahead and put them in the ground but if you have pure sand such as mine they'll do better in a pot good luck gary

Sambac, going to redlands too, and of course on a friday. But that is MONTHS away. Ft Laud show is good and had the displays....

Hi ..I came into this late been out of it for awhile ..My mom just died and I've been taking care of her the last 3 yrs..I usually know it all did I miss it or is there still time ?

Are there any international/ South American growers/sellers coming to the show? Is there a list of growers I can look at?

How about the Tamiami show?? 1/31 to 2/1 ?? Noted that Andy's orchids is going to be there.!! Always drool over his lists of species . No shipping charges and you get to see the plants BEFORE purchase!!
Way too late too pre order for me at least. Does he ever come to other shows in Florida?? gary

Sambac, not sure of the vendor listing yet, I know there are usually 1 or 2 SA growers, but of course, that can change.
Andy's used to do the Ft Lauderdale show but hasn't the past couple so you never know. He usually does the Miami show and the Redlands show.

Doubt if I will actually go .Is there a way to get there without driving to MIami? lol I can't go to a sale unprepared anyway . I come home with everything except what I wanted in the first place. Preordering helps a lot!!
Wanted to get into species and I can see that's going to require VERY careful shopping lol
Hope you report back apparently this is an annual event and it's only 7 bucks to get in!! That's relly exciting lol gary
