Name That Plant!

I call it the alien plant

This little guy (now taller than me)just shot up all of a sudden. I've never seen anything like it. It starts out small and green then turns light brown. It has thorns on it and its rubbery almost. I've been curious so I just let it grow. Any ideas on what it is?

Can you provide a picture, preferably a closeup of the top/tip of the plant?

Small pic, but it looks/sounds like Smilax laurifolia, or catbriar. Very aggressive grower in the coastal plain.

Okay so I have looked at your other pics and now I want to know what type of plant do you have.It must be in the euphorbia species.It has the same type of leafs like my Thai Crown of Thorns. Your best bet is to post your pic on the cacti & succulant forum as there are more experts on that forum who could id this plants for you.I am going to do some research and see what I can find.Where did you get this plant?I dont know the name but I sure do want one now!LOL Rigo

They are quite nice I think the plant in the first pic could use more light, it doesnt look unhealthy but not as tight and dense as it could be. I find the succulent peps to be one of the few succullents that doesnt mind over potting. I had several that were about 18-24 inches tall and had nice tree shape, some were converted to bonsais, and looked great!
