Italian terra cotta pots
Comments (1)No, they're not all the same. Look for very fine details, no seams, a work of art. They're the most expensive (You'll have to ask for a price list!) and you probably won't find them often. Knock-offs are much coarser and have seams. That's a very coarse description but it's a start. Do some research online. Google fine Italian terra cotta pots....See MoreWhere is the best place to get terra cotta clay plant pots?

Comments (6)Oh, and I forgot to say - I never plant directly into a pot that I've mosaic'd. I make sure I have a plastic pot that can fit inside the pot that I mosaic. That's probably being paranoid, but I figure it's just another way of protecting something that I spent a lot of time on. Also, it works out well when you have a plant that isn't doing well, and you need to send it to "intensive care" (hide it while you nurse it back to health). Just the plastic pot goes to intensive care, and you can pop another plant into the mosaic'd pot. Works for me! :)...See MoreGarden Pots Glazed and Terra Cotta
