Crabgrass and Bermuda

My front lawn is overrun, and I mean OVERRUN, with crabgrass. I currently have St. Augustine Grass. Or what is left of it. My neighbor has Bermuda Grass. The Bermuda Grass is slowly over taking my lawn, which is fine with me. Now for the problem. I tried to kill the Crabgrass and I did. I put baking soda on the crabgrass and it did indeed kill it. Now the question is what do I do next. Do I pull up the crabgrass? If so, it leaves huge bare spots in the yard. Do I leave it and hope the Bermuda takes over until winter? Do I hire a landscaper to come in and take care of it? Will the St. Augustine come back? Is it as easy as throwing down some seed and watering to get Bermuda grass?

These are all of my questions. If you need pictures I can try to attach them.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Ashley
