Stihl BG55 Leaking gas

Yesterday after using my Stihl BG55 leaf blower I put it back in the garage only to find out about 20 minutes later that the thing had a puddle of gas under it. I set it on the bench and looked it over and found what I thought was gas seeping out of the ( I think ) is the vent on top of the tank. It is a small dome with tiny nipples on it. This in turn left me to believe that the tank had pressure in it. So I unscrewed the gas cap and sure enough, pressure and gas sprayed onto my shirt and hands releasing the pressure. I am convinced the thing is not venting properly. I can eliminate the problem by simply loosening the gas cap but that too is not correct. Only a ( band aid fix ). What do I do to fix the thing to vent properly?
