I have my fingers crossed - no problems yet - I plant most my indeterminate tomatoes fourteen inches apart and all are staked to a single stem. Have plants approaching 7 feet tall. Have removed all lower one third to half of the lower leaf branches leaving only the fruit branches intact. Number two with the lower leaf branches removed - if i water which wasn't needed much this summer - I never - repeat never spray water on leaves whether tomato or potato - directing only to the base of the plant and ground surrounding. Since tomatoes love carrots I have two rows of carrots planted in the space normally covered by tomato leaves. Will keep posted if a blight appears but so far Im lucky

Well.....I am in my 3rd month of my first Round Robin (Secret Pal for a year) and already have next months box packed for my Secret Pal. I have to share my wonderful surprise today! I went to WallyWorld and at the very top of the plant sections were all kinds of BEAUTIFUL African Violets (my Secret Pal saves these and I found some AWESOME African Violet pots at Marden's for $1.99 each). Anyways, I couldn't see the very top of the plant shelf as I'm a 5'4" Maine Polar Bear *lol* so I went to the patio furniture dept. and grabbed a plastic lawn chair. When I stood up on the chair I was amazed at the beautiful varieties that were there. I carefully picked out the 4 best ones but didn't see a price. When I was leaving the garden section an employee was lingering about so I asked her "how much are these"......guess what she said?.......$1.94!!!! I was tickled pink! I have found some of the cutest things for my Secret Pal! I think I get more excited shopping for her than I do receiving from my Secret Pal. Everytime I come home from the store hubby will say......"whose that for"? I reply....My Secret Pal. He says....."wish I were your Secret Pal" *lol*. Yesterday in the car we were talking and he told me about the computer stuff he bought (didn't understand half of what he said but nodded and ummmm hummmmed along)......I thought this would be a good time to tell him....Guess what? I joined another Secret Pal today *lol*. He took it well, better than I thought he would *lol*. Hubby and I were neighbors since we were 12 years old. We were always best friends but I didn't want to ruin the friendship by being boyfriend/girlfriend. At 22 we were married and have been married for 13 years. We have a 15 1/2 year old son (hubby adopted him as his father gave him up without seeing him....a blessing in disguise) and an 11 year old girl. We have 1 cat who thinks he's human and loves to follow me around the gardens. I have recently updated my "ME" page here so check it out as it has a picture of Kazz on it. I LOVE it here and have met some of the very nicest people in the world. I am addicting to trading plants and wake up each morning with a cup of coffee and the forums. I think a conversation link would be great as I don't see much "conversations" going on in the actual "exchange" Round Robin threads. Nice to chat w/cha all. Kim
