Husqvarna problem solved - dumb me

Got the 326L out last week, put some gas in it and it started right up but died in a few seconds. Put some Seafoam in the carb and got the same results. Primer didn't seem to work right so I took it off and checked it. It was OK. Acted like it was running out of fuel. Must be pump diaphram-Right? Disassembled carb and found it was clean and all parts like new. Blew out all passages with spray Gumout. Still would only run a few seconds after priming.

Accidently found that primer worked better if I turned trimmer on its side. Looked in tank and found that fuel strainer was just above fuel level with 1/4+ tank full. Filled tank to 1/2 and it runs like new.

Looks like plant manager decided to save a fraction of a cent on fuel lines. I have never had a tool that wouldn't pick up fuel until the tank was almost empty. Anyone else ever have this problem on a yard tool ?
