****** Can I offer some friendly suggestions ? You definately have " the eye " & the talent ! I learned these tips the hard way ..... when you have plates that are concave - the rain water will collect in them and form pools . Mine looked awful ... & .... I'm not sure what it does to the adhesive. I kept having to tip them over to dump out the dirty water.

I also learned to make mine with glass pieces that are bigger on the bottom and get smaller on the way up . This way it won't be top heavy and the adhesive will hold better .

I hope these tips helped - believe me - I could write the book on "What not to do" .... LOL

thank you, am glad you liked them and thank you for the advice...I guess I was thinking the birds could drink the water, (the little white one is a mini bird bath, Im thinking of doing a mini garden as you all do...) and I put a big heavy micowave plate on the bottom of the tall one and I was thinking of burying that in the soil, good idea or not? thank you again this garden junk or garden art is fun and as I said before I have been watching and everyone here are so creative I enjoy it all.....linda

Love your color and shape choices! Yes, putting a heavy plate, etc. on the bottom is a great idea. The little white birdbath is just darling! Toomuchglass' suggestion about the plates between the vases is a good one....all you need to do is turn them over and put your glass globs on the back side. But...if your aiming to make a bird or butterfly bath, then, of course, the dishes need to be right side up...just need to dump the water sometimes. Great job!!! Keep them coming!

Very creative!!are you going to put a plant in the tissue box? That would look so cute. I agree that the water will end up leaving muddy mosquito breeding puddles. This green 1 you can just wash out as needed but think what a mess it would be if you made 10 like that. With the plates where water slides off they will be so much cleaner & less work for you!! They are all so pretty! Your tall green one would make an awesome fountain. Now if I could only figure out how to drill holes in these things without breaking them! lol! I'd copy that one in a minute. I just love milk glass in totems. It looks so fresh and clean. The little birdbath is very cute and I can't wait to see your miniature garden you use it in! I agree with Jan, the little birdhouse on top of the other milk glass totem would be so cute with a little plant in it. What did you use for your topper for the green one and what are the multi-color balls on the one plate? Keep those totems coming!

Btw, your lilies and purple cone flowers are very pretty too!

Hi all and thank you very much for the very nice comments and suggestions..I did not think of the water getting nasty, I just thought the birds would like the water...
as for making a fountain it would not be to hard just use a moto tool and a carbide drill bit and high speed and gentle presser...kinda like at the dentist...thank you all again..linda

oops, the top of the green totem is a glass angel and the colored balls are glass and were on the plate when I got it...linda

What I do is wash them off when I am watering plants. In this hot weather the birdies really appeciate them!
