The chair is gorgeous! I like the "fancy" look of it next to your rustic shed. If you don't want the chair to deteriorate any further, you probably should seal it. Very pretty!

That chair looks like it might be an antique. Yes/no - can you possibly tell? If so, you might want to take it to an antique dealer and just ask how old it is and if it's worth anything.

As a planter, it looks fantastic. If you're not going to seal it, it will age like the shed and look wonderful next to it.

I was told that it was an antique. Any suggestions of a good weatherproof sealer I should use?

Oh, My husband and son made the shed a few years ago. My husband is so UNCRAFTY/UNHANDYMAN that he had the carpentars at work cut the wood to the exact measurements and label each piece so all they had to do was nail it together. Also, if you look at the roof, the bottom is a different color because my son is colorblind and didn't notice he picked up the wrong shingles! Why the wrong ones were there is beyond me!

I love the look but I REALLY love the old kid's tractor!!
My father In Law got my kids one and when they got older I let my DHs sisiter kids use it.Now I am a grandma and they aren't parting with it.NO FAIR!

That chair is beautiful; I think you should seal it so you can enjoy it for a very long time.
