RED X instead of photos and other hints!

Those of you frustrated by the dreaded Red X . If the poster has changed that photo in their album in ANY way AFTER POSTING it on GW the photos disappear and the red X appears. So if you WANT to replace your photo with a red X that is the way to do it.

If you want it to remain in the forum for others to see you must be sure you have edited it to your satisaction BEFORE you post. It will save us all alot of frustrations.

Now all you other experienced poster,,,,,,please add your helpful hints.Thanks and lets Axe the X!!!!

I understand what you are saying but I did not touch my photos or do anything in my photobucket account after posting the pictures and still a couple people said they got X's.

That is only one way that I personally know to get the dreaded red X.But that is not THE ONLY way I am sure.
(Sheri,please don't think I am blaming you,,, it happens:-)
I have certain friends and for some reason we cannot send each other email with photos. Apparently our computers do not communicate as we only get red x instead of photos.I can send the same shot to other friends and they get the photos perfectly clear.
I do not use photobucket but use webshots so I am only familiar with how Webshots works. So my hope for this thread is that others will share what they know and we can get to the bottom of it and enjoy all yer pictures. Does photobucket have a place to send a question like that? That would be beneficial. As I said I am not an expert with photobucket so maybe someone out there is.
Hopefully others will hear our plea!:-)
C'mon all you junkers ,lets figure this thing out.

Hmmm... Garden Party? Will have to check that. What would be strange is I have two of these bought from different places (Walmart body bag and the other J&P from a local nursery) and BOTH are identical in form, color, etc... Kind of led me to believe that it had to be a nature thing because they are in the same garden. Guess we will just have to wait and see how they do with age. Thanks! Michelle

I've wondered if photobucket has a time limit or something. I have a LOT of problems seeing pictures they host.

Goldenpond, I did not feel you were blaming me at all. I would like to make sure my posts are useful to all, so am happy to try to find out the right way to post pictures.

Gardenandcats, I was trying to figure out how to make the pics tiny but to no avail. Help, I am computer-challenge.

If any used Yahoo,well those would be gone now,since you need another photo hosting site. TinyPic is the name of one, I use Photobucket,and some use Webshots,there are others. Some of the posts are older,and some of the members no longer post and have moved their albums for different reasons. Sometimes it's not that the picture is moved, you'll just get the red "x" and need to refresh the page,when you come back you'll most likely see the pic then.
