Choosing between Heirloom Apples

I'm trying to make the final apple variety selections for next spring's planting. I already have a dozen varieties (none bearing yet), mostly covering modern disease resistant cultivars.

I'd like to get some first-hand opinions from the forum about the following cultivars (I'll probably be able to fit about half of this list):

Kids Orange Red

Egremont Russet

Pitmason Pinapple

Mother

Margil

Orleans Reinette

Claygate Pearmain

Pome Gris

In particular, I'd like to know which would be best for fresh eating. I like reasonably sweet apples with good kick. Goldrush, Pink Lady, Golden Russet, Mutsu, and Jonnagold are my top 5 favorites so far (in that order). Macs don't rate highly with me, even right off the tree (where they are passable).

Any information about disease resistance would also be very helpful. I want to avoid any which are likely to be a problem, like Spitzenburg Esopus.
