Spray paint it the color of your bedroom colors and use it to hang beads and necklaces.

Use in the kitchen to hang large cooking utincils.

Cut the top hooks and handle off, turn upside down, shove deep in the ground and put a gazing ball in the obvious holder. The part that you cut off could be hooked onto your pot rack to hold extra pan lids.

Paint it green and Use as a tomatoe or eggplant plant support in veggie garden.

The tongs could be painted to resemble a whimsical garden bug if your hubs can bend the metal. Add wired-on beads as eyeballs in the tong hadles.

Hang some small buckets with plants in them. be sure to punch drain holes.
Hang some old garden hand tools on the hooks.
Have a fire pit? paint bright red and place near the pit.
Hang the tongs on a fence, painted any color you want!

Lots of great suggestions! Wow. I'd just have hubs cut off all the extra's and use it as another hose guide. But then, there' a shortage of hose guides 'round here, lol.

Hang humming bird feeder from one near the flowers they like....Hang chimes or danglers on them....Use some of the tools near your fire pit if you have one....Use it to hold your bbq tools.

How about putting it by your front door as a standing wreath hanger or as a stand to hold a decorative welcome sign or some sort of sign you change seasonally.

If you have a fire pit like weave1022 mentioned, you could hang your hot dog/marshmallow skewers on it.

You might hang some sort of small pail or a jar with a decorative wire/bead hanger, put a candle in 1/2 of them and flowers and water in the other 1/2 and alternately hang flowers and candles on the hooks...you could wind some real or artificial greenery around the post and use it as a decorative ornament on a buffet table on your patio.

I wouldn't paint them, I love how they look now.
But all the suggestions so far are great. I just saw on a decor site about using one on a dresser to hang necklaces from! It looked really nice.

Like Karen, I wouldn't paint them, either. The color is great. They do look like people to me, though. You can use an old broom handle cut to size for arms and glue on half glass marbles for eyes. Maybe find some straw hats at a charity shop and set them on top. Then have them somewhere in the garden.

You gals are GOOD! I never would have thot of all those ideas! I've saved the thread and will take some time to think about it. Let you know what I decide.
