Cool sign!!! I'd be tempted to see if I could paint over the word "Boutique" and hang it near your most difficult plants. For me, being a container gardener, it would be my pumpkin vines, given the amount of time spent rearranging where the vine wants to go, so the pumpkins can grow in my yard. It's a tough obsesssion, since one pumpkin is growing through the chain link fence. (It's so deformed, I've named him Quaimoto! LOL) It's so bad, I'm actually crocheting netting to help another pumpkin grow without taking over the flowers in another container. LOL Do you have any plants you need to obsesss over?

That is a great sign. I love it! I love the pumpkin story too that is funny(-: I have never tried to grow pumpkins in a pot. How well does it work?

Hi linda....12 feet long, wow. Have you finished your wood fence...maybe you could hang it there....since the pool removal has almost become an obsession, lol.

valentinebear, do not crochet netting, use knee highs....put the small pumpkin inside and tie the top to the fence...the hose will stretch as it grows. We had white pumpkins growing up a castor bean tree once and it worked great. I originally read in readers comments in some magazine where she used white nurses stockings for her pumpkins growing up a tree and people stopped all the time asking her what kind of white fruit was in the trees.

Hi, Thanks for the comments. I hadn't thought about hanging it, but that sounds better than a fence. I don't really like the 'boutique' either. There are no hard to grow plants in the yard, but there may be when the cement pond is history. I've been looking up that plant called protea. A few of those may like it on the slope.

June, I was thinking about you the last few days, wondering if you got back from Texas. The fence isn't done yet. I haven't been able to find the mis-mix for the final color yet, a sunflower yellow. There are 35 boards ready to hang except for that last coat. The rest are sanded, many are patched and some are cut out. A kid on my street made a little flier for the neighbors so he could work for summer money. Perfect timing. He's worked here for several hours and does everything I ask him to do. We're making good progress in the (long) side yard. That's where the metal is. Once that's done, most everything else is wood and easier stuff. We're still plugging along at the swap meet on Fridays. The mountain is a little lower that it was. I may even be able to make the demo date sooner if it keeps going well. We're going to Caliente, NV next week for a 2 day visit. I'm sure Caliente is a prime vacation area, lol. Email me when you get a chance. Linda
