Spotting on Pothos leaves
Comments (4)Plutacratic, Yes, it does seem to be a disease of some kind. If you want to keep it. Spray with a Rose Bush fungicide for black spot. Cut all the diseased leaves off of the plant. Or, I agree with PG, take them back if you still can. Any way keep it away from all other plants you have....See MoreGolden pothos' leave turning brown
Comments (1)Is the lighting over the plant fluorescent light? Also, when you don't have your plant in a warm sunny location, you'll need to water less. How does the soil feel right now? If you got the plant only 3 days ago, I suspect you bought one with some rot or previous neglect. Could you share a picture?...See MoreHELP! brown spots on the underside of pothos
Comments (1)Hi, I've had a golden pothos for a few months now and it's been doing great until I recently noticed it had yellow leaves where it seemed to be getting too much light, (I have it hanging in a macrame hanger) I moved it from a south facing window to a north facing ING window. (In the same room. The room is my living room and it's the brightest room in my house) it then developed some mealybug which I scraped off and sprayed down with a mix of water alcohol and soap. That went away and now a week later I notice all kinda of brown spots in the leaves :( is it from moving it or from spraying it to kill the mealybugs? What are the brown spots? It won't let me attach photos but it's brown all on the underside of the leaves and some are deep enough that it shows on the top of the leaves as well. They aren't moist or sticky, I can't rub them off. And I watered the plant recently because it started to droop again. It's in a terracotta pot...See MoreGrey brown on Golden Pothos vine only
Comments (3)It's bark. Cambium is a layer of actively dividing tissue sandwiched between the xylem and the phloem in the stems and roots of plants. As this layer grows and divides, the inside cells become the xylem whereas the outside cells become the phloem. Successive divisions produce what is known as secondary phloem. This is where the bark begins. On the outside of this secondary phloem are three rings of tissues collectively referred to as the "periderm." As a layer of cells called the "cork cambium" divides, the outer layer becomes cork. These cells die as soon as they are fully developed. I's a normal part of your plant's morphology.
