washing machine drum + mini bike = compost tumbler

ahh I started another project with a friend!

The washing machine repair guy decided to replace the drum and a lot of other parts since it was still under warranty... and rather than throw out the stainless steel drum I decided to make a compost tumbler. My friend had a street "illegal" mini bike that he had laying around and rather than throw it out since he couldn't ride it he donated it to the project!

The tumbler is not yet complete since I'd like to hook it up to a gear box and a home made helix wind turbine so that it turns using wind power...

While we were building this monster, a neighbor came along and offered to donate 2x6 pieces of wood that he had in his garage for a few years and that he had been trying to get rid of for years!

So this is where the project is at so far...

I still need:

1x high ratio right angle worm gear box

1x 10' long shaft so that the helix turbine will clear the garage roof/wall

1x helix turbine which I can build but I won't until I know what sort of sized holes etc I need to cut which depends on when I get the shaft and gearbox and the diameter of the shaft... etc...
