My glass mushroom

So you are probably wondering why a metal and mud maniac would post a picture of an all glass mushroom:______me too!

Seriously, I have seen so many very nice pieces here on the GJ forum I had to try one especially when I found just the right cap for a quarter, the class for a dime, and the frosted glass was a lamp left-over from another day.

I usually donÂt consider glass on the ground Â not around my place. But there is no foot traffic in this little area.

So mustering all the energy I could squeeze into 5 minutes this little mushroom in the boxwood forest materialized.

I love this!!! I'm hooked on mushrooms. I've made several and plan to have a little mushroom garden when (and 'if') we ever get our landscaping done. Hubby has been clearing and leveling. Almost ready to plant our first flower bed, I think.

THAT is an ADORABLE mushroom! Are those half marbles you used on the soda glass? This piece couldn't be more perfect. I love it!

That's lovely! I just started getting addicted to the glass garden totems and have now made 6 and DSD wants to learn. I would love to make a mushroom one. Your frosted bowl made a perfect top. Off to the thrift stores soon to hunt out more glass!

Thanks, y'all! Lyndalu, those little things are heavy!!! The big one I made from concrete and wow, I could hardly hold it with one hand. The little one I made from left over grout. I hope it stays together but it's been outside waiting for me to decorate for a few weeks and has not disintegrated so I figured, go ahead and glue glass on it. Slow, my yard will have mushrooms all over it, when I get to make more. Can't wait to see how you would decorate them. They will be quite dazzling. NT, what's holdin' you up on the column? Just take a deep breath and finish it - this weekend. We're waiting....

Hey guys, Im sort of new to this site and looking to upgrade my new plot in Macclesfield. I recently bought a greenhouse off eBay and it came with no glass, hmph.
