Welcome to the junkyard!!!! Posting photos is easier if you open a Photobucket account. Just go to photobucket.com and sign up for a free account. You upload your photos to there. Under each photo there is a small box that says:
brendascamera029.jpg Click in that box then scroll down the page and there's a blue box it will say: GENERATE HTML and IMG CODE click on that and it will take you to another page. Copy and Past the info in the first box HTML clickable thumbnails... then past it in your message..

And you get a picture in your post that if someone clicks on it a larger view of the picture comes up....
Just hollar if you need help everyone has been there in the begining.

Welcome Sugarmaple, we are always happy when someone comes out of Lurkdom and joins the fun. And has photos, LOL.
I do photobucket but a different way. Beside each photo in there is a box with different codes listed. You copy the aref one and paste into your message here. The actual picture comes up when you preview your post before submitting it. The pictures are the actual size tho instead of clickable thumbnails like Inmygardens just did.
So nice to have several ways to get pix here! I hadn't tried the one yet that Bright suggested.

Inmygardens, those chimes are wonderful. I love the topper on the second one especially.

Welcome to our corner of the world. I saw a lady on Carol Duvall (HGTV or DIY) making the hangers using one spoon, drill one hole in top and 3 or four at the tip of the bowl of the spoon. Then string in some strands of beads or jewels on the top to hang and on the botton to move in the wind.

How strange, I use photobucket and I copy the html code and paste it in the body of the message for a normal size pic.

Nice to meet you sugarmaple. Nice chimes Karen! I do the copying (just by clicking on the html address directly under the pic once and a little sign says "copied") then pasting a regular sized pic into the message too. But I can see where the thumbnail can be useful if you want to post a very large pic that may slow some folks downloading way down. Nice to know how to do it any which way!

Hi all. Thanks for the warm welcome and the directions for posting photo's - I'll be needing those. Inmygardens - love the windchimes, very beautiful - I can almost hear them. I don't have cable or satellite so I'm going to have to check out Carol Duval on the HGTV internet site - thanks for the tip. I did make two small totems - one I was pretty pleased with and the other made it to the garden even though it's somewhat plain. As soon as DH teaches me to put the pictures from the camera to the computer you guys will see my "practice" totems.

Hi SugarMaple, welcome :) Couldn't resist posting about wind chimes, my current favorite thing! Bright,love that butterfly photo...InMyGardens, I love how you did your windchimes! About all I have time for these days is wind chimes....wish I could find some silverware at that bargain price :) I flatten mine with a ball peen hammer on a small piece of 4x4 wood scrap. I have another piece of scrap I use to drill a hole in the handle of the silverware, it sure does make a huge mess of silver shavings. I try to save the nice curly shavings for another project I make. Then I use beading wire,crimper beads and glass beads,maybe an old glass prism off a chandelier, to string the wind chime with. Those silver plated tiny trays are good to use to string them to,too, I like to glue something on them like a porcelain rose from my mosaic stash :) I'll spray paint the tray if it's too corroded and crusty, lol,otherwise, leave it silver. Here's some examples of mine....
