Growing cucumbers under row covers

drscottr

I have a terrible problem with cucumber beetles and bacterial wilt so I've decided to use row covers this year. Has anyone grown Diva cucumbers under row covers? Supposedly they are parthenocarpic (sp?) and do not have to be pollinated. So at least in theory I should be able to leave covers in place.

Do you use a plastic mulch, drip hose, etc?

Does anyone have plans for a good design that will allow me to access the plants for care and then replace the covers?
