Hey I am sooo excited about my find today. I found five boards three of which were hinged together. They are painted with a white wash look. I rehinged the other two

so now I have a five panel wooden screen. Thay are about four feet tall. Not sure if I will repaint them or not.

I might just leave them and sell them as is. Great find

for me today!!!

Sounds great! I love old painted finishes. I was eyeing up a stool at a flea market yesterday that had about 6 layers of paint on it. The result was a marbling effect in green and robin's egg blue with a little rust for good measure. Call me crazy but I thought it was a work of art. lol! If I had felt like carrying it back to the car (which was a few blocks away) I would have bought it. But free is even better! Glad you had some success this weekend!

Would love to see them, the white-wash look sounds good but then again I've seen what paint can do. A great find no matter what you do.

Ellen - that does sound heavenly, but the only problem is we sit on top of a huge hill and there's not a speck of shade except under a few little trees in the yard!! I will probably use some of the pieces separately as an accept in my beds - right now is a good time to place them as plants are just awakening and can grow up around it. I may place one in the middle of my daisies and black eyed Susans. May use 2 to form a corner bed somewhere also. I'm still thinking...... Arlene

susieroses...just wanted to add a note...I HAD to buy an enameled teapot today at an antique store...I was looking for a wire basket...but it "jumped" at me...love my "chocolate ones"...so this little honey will be used to water potted plants, too! BRIGHT YELLOW!! Thanks, susieroses, for the inspiration!!! imjustsam..I had an old ladder in the garden, too, a couple yrs. ago...for sweet potato vine (I think) to grow on...not successful...but I think I will try again with your idea of the basket'ed flowers...TFS! Ok - your projects are very cute! WOW!!! I have a 3 tier shelf that I curbside shopped and it's proven the test of time. It's has been outside in various seasons and it as durable as ever... time for me to do something nice for it... LOL And I too love your bottle... could that be the next step in totem, cake stand or bottle light creations.... hmmmm????
