I think $10 would be fair. You might consider a package amount if the buy say 3 like for $25. They are really cute!

Be SURE to have a way to display some hanging - with space in between - hard to see detail in photo - and the cuteness can get lost. Best wishes!

I think your pricing is very fair. And Pooh saying a discount for buying 3 or more is always a good idea.
May I ask where you find these colorful little bottles? I've picked up 3 or 4 occasionally at GW, but nothing like you've gotten.

I'm glad you all like them - hope the sentiment continues at my show! I am planning to take my small shepherd's hooks, plus I have some of those free standing hooks I will use to display them. It is an outside show in a tent, so I can just poke the shepherds hooks in the ground. I picked up the biggest bottles at Hobby Lobby and a set of 4 of the med. sized ones at Pier 1 - they were not cheap - 4 for $12.00 I believe. I think the larger ones were on sale for $2.00 each at HL. I picked up a few of them at Goodwill too, but they are hard to find.

Thanks all - I used 18 ga. galvanized wire. I will have to look at WalMart next time I am there - I've not seen colored bottles there before. Bright - thanks for the encouragement - I always seem to price things too low. I might put $12 on the big ones.

They are very cute. I don't think $10 is a fair price. Although more than that and people might think twice about buying them. I love all the colors!

Has anyone tried taking a clear bottle and swishing paint inside of it and using that? I was just wondering how it would hold up.

These are just too cute :) I made some of the bottle bugs and left them out over the winter. I thought they'd be okay, but water got in them and they froze and broke. We usually have nice temperatures,seldom freezing.

luvs2click - I'm with daisydal...see if you can do something with a "branch thing." I trimmed up my corkscrew willow tree and bundled branches together for Farmers' Market for 75 cents...sold like hotcakes! I can see your bottle bugs flying in my branches! Have fun! Jeanne S.

I'll see what I can do - my biggest concern is space! I have so much stuff to take! I have 23 fairy houses, 25 or so fairy gardens in enamel pans and granite roasters, along with these bugs, some wreaths and a bunch of little stuff, not to mention a bed bench, and a garden chair! Oh - also about 15 pr. of planted shoes and lots of pans and various containers full of hens & chicks. I'm not even sure how I'm going to get it all there!! I will take some pictures of my space after I get set up. This is all new to me, so I'm rather anxious. At least it is close to me and I can set up all day Fri. so if I have to make more than one trip, I can. I had thought with the shepherd's hooks, I could stick them here and there where there is space, rather than having a large chunk of space for the bugs. I only have 9 of them. I decided to go $8 on the little ones, $10 on the med. ones and $12 on the two big ones. I love the idea of branches in a pot, but that would be another large item to haul. All of my items are things that cannot be stacked - they have to be in the car in one layer.

Oh - as a side note - my Mom was having a garage sale last weekend, so I took my bed benches just in case - thought maybe I wouldn't have to take them this weekend to the show. Well, I did sell one (only had 2) for $50 so I was happy about that. I had tried them at my garage sale last summer for $75 each. Pricing is the worst part for me. I like getting opinions from all of you. I'm still in a quandry about how to price the fairy houses.

How did you do?

Well, the bugs FLEW away at the show. I had made 9 of them, sold down to 1 in the first 2 hrs. of the show. It did sell later in the day also. I made 9 more Sat. night and sold 7 of those Sunday. Many, many comments, and everyone loved them! Thanks to whoever first posted their bug picture and gave me the idea!

Oh, we sold our other bed bench also for $50.

With all you had to haul, and ever so carefully, I sure hope you had help.

I wanted some little bottles, rarely find them at GW and they are usually a couple of dollars each there! So I checked on eBay. I got a batch of 15 for $3.99. With shipping they cost me total of $10 but I am still happy.
I want to make a MINI Bottle Tree with mine. Here's the ones I just got. Thanks for the inspiration, I plan to make a couple of bugs also with two purple bottles from GW.

The fairy pans (gardens) sold well, but I only sold one fairy house which was a huge disappointment because they are so fun to make. Everyone loved the enamel pans and roasters planted up.

Your bottles are adorable and a great price!! What a variety! They are hard to find. We found 5 LARGE ones (I mean BIG) at a garage sale for .50 each the other day. I made those all into bugs. I could have sold tons of little ones but only had 2.

Oh my sakes!! Your bottle bugs are just precious! On my must try~to~do next list. I have a plastic squirt bottle that every time I've reached for it I'd think (to myself of course) where's that goose hiding now? LoL, really looks like a potential goose to me.
