My bear wants to say hello to your bears!!! He came from Gatlinburg, TN. We love it there. I just had to have a little bear to bring home ... all the ones in the gift shops say 'made in China' So DH bought me this chain saw one from a man along the road... he's in need of some new stain.

Bright199, is that a CocaCola cooler on your porch? One like that went at our local monthly auction (mostly junk) for $65 last month.

You've got the greatest yard, and y'all are such a beautiful family making special memories so often. Your bear collection is just fantastic. I only have seen one real carved one before, a friend brought it back from a trip to the Northwest. Loved it.
I think your 50 Cent Bear takes the prize tho. That was an unbelievable buy!

Hey Mimi and Karen, The houses down the road on each side of us are for sale! We can be neighbors! Hee hee. I wonder if I'm scaring neighbors away with all of these bears! Ha!

Busdriver, I wished you lived near me (The neighboring houses ARE for sale! ha!) because there are several bear carvers around. I've seen some great bears on Ebay. You could also do a search on the computer..."Chainsaw Bears" and see what comes up.

I think it shows what a great person you must be and with such caring and devoted friends , you are so Blessed.
My neighbors house and one and a half acres are for sale and I sure pray I get someone half as nice as you.
I would love to look at stuff like that all day instead of 15 redneck vehicles,a never used trampoline,their chickencoop with plywood leaning against it(which happens to be 10 ft from the pool they never clean)and a flat lawn of weeds.Hope you have a really large yard cuz at the rate you are going you will have so many bears you won't have space to garden!

I've seen that determined real black bear's photos before, and they totally crack me up. He's a persistent character for sure. I meant to tell you, that stone bear in your garden is very wonderful and the family shoes in the garden are just darling.

Karen...I crack up everytime I see those photos too. Ha! Our pastor even used them in church to talk about perseverance. I'm glad the bear won in the end...he worked so hard for his reward! Thanks for the compliments on my stone bear and our shoes! The bear is getting moss on it which is kind of cool! I'm anxious to get a pair of outgrown shoes from our newborn! It'll be awhile! Those bears are so cool! And I love all the stories that go with 'em - I LOVE hearing the stories behind everything.
I just realized that there are no bears in Australia - unless you consider the koala a bear even though it's not. The only bear I have is my puppy's toy and I don't think she'll let me keep it in the garden! LOL
Hmmm, Kirk, you've given me ideas about introducing some 'American bears' into my garden!
