New pictures of my garden junk

I finally went outside with my camera and got some good pictures of my garden 'o' junk!

The picket fence was salvaged from someone's burn pile (those silly people!)

The bricks in the path were from a tornado ravaged, historical building. (how cool is that?)

All other things were destined to be junk until I saved them and gave them a new home(DH has perfected his eye-rolling)

Even most of my plants are "second-hand". I do like them so much better that way, knowing they came from friends, neighbors, and family.

Anyway, I have been looking at all your beautiful creations, I figured it was my turn to contribute. More to come as things grow...

Ohhhh!!! I Love your sq ft garden!!! Beautiful, a lot of work! to get it sooo perfect!! Good job! Your dog is adorable! Reminds me of the puppy that sings "There ain't no fleas on me!" ha! Your ladder display will look awesome all planted up!!! Thanks for the Eye Candy!!!

Wow! Cool stuff. Your square foot garden is interesting. Will it be all flowers or some vegetables mixed in? I can't believe someone threw out that picket fence. It looks great in your yard.

That is without a doubt the cutest chicken coop ever! Those chicks of yours are very lucky! We've had chickens for quite a while...they are very entertaining too! We are down to one little banty rooster, but he definitely rules the roost! And by the way....chickens LOVE hostas!! So don't plant any close by....they will look like they've been through a shredder!

OMgosh, Marlene...you found GOLD! Well, rusty gold!!! My DH & I would LOVE that place!!! That huge 'grate' thing in the 1st & 5th pic would make an AWESOME table top! We build some of those out of old barnwood...& sometimes paint the wood legs or leave natural...anyway, you found a honey!!! Love everything you got & your fence looks great! Love old equipmt! TFS! Thanks guys!

I have a bunch of sweet-potato vines and some other pretty flowers I'm going to put into the pots on the ladder display (just have to find time!)

My SFG is all veggies, except for the middle box, which is planted with sunflowers (in the middle) and zinneas along the edges. It will also have some trellises (cattle panels) added in a week or two to support the cukes, peas, pole beans, etc...

Collecting more bottles to add to the trees...they make a great sound in the wind.

The big puppy is Jack...he loves the garden, cause it attracts lots of killer-bunnies for him to "protect" us people from!

Glad you guys liked it. I'll try to add more as I get new projects finished and as plants fill out...

super job on the raised vegetable beds...i am getting ready to do another one but this one is big and have to haul about 8 tons of processed top soil first and then i'm going to do mine like yours just a little different design with the boxes...my goes across my yard so i am going to put a fence across there with a arch and a growing vine and inside a sitting bench with a trellis over and then put some flowers in it. i am going to have three long square one's and a octagon one in the middle. and then mulch the area like you did...here is where i got my idea, just scroll down about four posters and there are tons of pictures the two i loved is the one with the trellis and the one with the poles with flowers in it...both look like a flower bed. http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/cornucop/msg0419470025521.html

btw quasky you would not be up to shoveling some dirt would ya :)...maybe a dirt shoveling party of sorts =P.

Sounds like you have the same kind of sickness that I do! Big project-itis!! It is where you see or think of a giant, super-cool project, and HAVE to do it, regardless of how much work it involves...hey, its just sweat, right?

Good luck with your project! It sounds awesome!

my achin back was what i said when i shoveled the 4 1/2 ton into the first raised bed...yep guess we do have big project-itis lol! You just keep telling yourself how beautiful it is going to look and once it is done it is done...never mind the trip to the emergency room because you can't walk lol. And did you mention blood and tears with the sweat =). its all about keeping yourself occupied. apparently 12 hour shifts at work is not enough for me...gotta keep myself occupied the rest of the time lol. Your raised bed really is beautiful, in fact all your pictures are awesome!

I love everything. I still can't believe people throw out things that they do. Amazing to me. You lucked out getting the fence and it looks so wonderful in your garden(-;

Beautiful gardens, love the bottles hanging from the trees and the ones with colored water, I bet those really shine in the sunlight. Do tell, what is the plant in the second row of pics, third pic over? Thanks for sharing.
