bugs and eggs under my pumpkin leaves. what are they?

Im assuming those bugs emerged from those eggs, however there are still other eggs on other leaves that havent hatched yet. Should I remove them, or let them be? Thanks so much.

Those are the eggs and nymphs of the evil squash bug! If you want to see any pumpkins this year, eradicate them now.

Thank you. guys! In my reading last night I did figure out that it was squash bugs. I understand that the threat from them is that they can chew the leaves or fruit and damage them. In this process. They can also be a vector for introducing bacterial wilt? I definitely have a few leaves that have been eaten and these guys are probably the culprits. A few of the vines that are in full sun definitely do wilt during the day, but perk back up late in the day. I read that this is a sort of self-protective behavior and like you had said, not always caused by under-watering. I cut off the end of the wilty vine and buried most of my vines. I read about the test for bacterial wilt, so I may attempt that - because if this plant DOES have BW, I need to remove it entirely, correct? I'm evaluating my options for purging the squash bugs. I hate the idea of collateral damage.

Farmgardener, Thanks for the kind words. I have to confess that I had released ladybugs for years before I finally figured out what the larvae looked like....and then it was only because I saw these peculiar gray alligator-shaped things and wanted to know what they were. Much 'googling' later, I knew they were ladybug larvae. Okiefamily, You know, the larvae are actually cuter than they appear in that photo. Most of the ones I see are a lighter gray with some pale orange splotches. If I can google and find a photo of some that look like that, I will link it below. They do look really, really odd as they get older and begin to look more like actual lady bugs. Dawn Here is a link that might be useful:

They will kill all squash & move to your tomatoes.

I got these this year.
The little ones are the babies. Those eggs will hatch and you will have more get something and scrape the eggs off.
They just about killed the Zuc's and watermellon.
This is how I got rid of them. In the late afternoon or early evening I sprayed the plants with water really good. It makes the mama bugs crawl to the very top leaves they do not like the water.These bugs hide very well under the leaves. Then I made a mixture of cheap dish soap and water it killed the babies and mamas on the spot(just like apids) Don't spray the soap mixture in the hot sun. 1/4 cp dish soap to 1gl of water do not stir just spray. The Zuc's are now starting to come back.
