Squash with yellow leaves in Australia (with pictures)

My crookneck squash is getting smaller, yellower leaves and I am worried about it.

I have searched on this problem and have found out about SVB or squash vine borer (I write that in full here for the sake of other newbies because it took me ages to figure it out!), however I don't know if SVB exists in Australia. Most internet searches seem to suggest it is just in North America.

I have attached a picture showing the plant's apparent deterioration. It has grown its first female flowers after having a few male ones - and I have tried to fertilise the bigger one with pollen from a male pumpkin flower but I am not sure if it worked.

Its leaves are small and few and yellow. They were bigger and greener a month ago, as you can see the picture below. It shows the plant on four different dates over the past six weeks or so.

If anyone please has any advice or information I would be very grateful.
