Good to know. I am cleaning seeds now, and my first experience with cranberry made my eyes cross...too small! The seeds that are almost dust, like orchids, are really easier, to me, than finding tiny seeds. Good luck with growing them. I potted some up last winter, but nothing is showing yet. I usually wait at least three years before I give up. Had some native clematis that took three to germinate, so I try to be patient. (And I live off the road, so neighbors cannot see my pot ghetto!)

Wait until the entire flower head has dried on the plant...including the area of stem just below (should be dead looking). Then cut the head off and allow to continue to dry for a few days indoors. Then carefully remove the surface of the head...the seeds will be just below (near the core of the flower). Here is a link that might be useful: Shasta seeds

Hi Tim No we don't have restrictions, I receive seeds from all over, some even write wooden toy on the packaging for bulbs I receive. I would be happy to receive seeds from someone who actually grows them because many seeds bought on eBay don't germinate. Regards Vici

Hi Val, I'm not technically a GW newbie but haven't used it since I lived in Kentucky a decade ago. I live in Minnesota now and I just moved from a house/garden I worked on for several years to a new home with nothing but a compacted yard, a few scraggly hostas and Lilly of the Valley, and 3 struggling hydrangeas, ack! Unfortunately the sale and move happened so fast I wasn't able to bring any of my plants with me so I'm starting from scratch again. Would be grateful for a starter package of seeds to get a jumpstart on the scope of work I have ahead of me! Not picky, a mix of flowers and veggies, or anything for z4 would be so helpful! Once I get some plants established, I'd be happy to donate back for the next gardener in need! TIA - Angela
