I finished my green ball so had to share. I painted the frog stand today too so its all ready for spring!

Great BB! I love the pink butterflies! And adorable in your flamingo garden. All in all you get an A+ in MY book! As for faded flamingos, you can always spray paint them with Krylon Fusion paint for plastic. I haven't noticed that it fades, so maybe you wouldn't need to repaint them yearly and turn them into "blobs" like excessfroufrou and her grandma did! (I'm LOLing imagining big pink blobs on top of spindly flamingo legs...LOL!) I've got a flamingo story to share...We lived in a "fancy" neighborhood one time and a new family who owned the local biker bar moved in. They put up an entire flock of pink flamingos and some neighbors were so horrified they started a petition to force them to remove them. Now, these people could have bought and sold ALL of the rest of us 10 times over, but the snooty neighbors were simply "above" bikers in their minds. When we refused to sign their silly petition, they got mad at us, too. Apparently they shared the petition with the owners of the flock who laughed it off. None of us realized how upset the anti-flamingo crowd was until one night somebody stold all the flamingos and CHOPPED THEM up into little pieces and threw them in the street in front of the house they came from. It could have gotten ugly, but the bikers were nice people who weren't looking for a fight. Nobody ever found out who actually "killed" the flamingos! At Christmas that year, Hallmark came out with the cutest flamingo ornament. I bought one for each of the neighbors...including the very nice neighbors who owned the biker bar! And, we have had flamingos of one type or another in our yard ever since!

WOW You did a great job on your fountain. I also love the pot with it. Love the sprinkler ring idea!! And they look so pretty together. I was getting by on the cheep with my fountain last year and found out plain old Daylilys up rooted with roots cleaned off well will grow nicely in a fountain for the season. They even bloomed. I just stuck mine down in some in pots. THEN I forgot about them figuring it was too late to plant them back into the yard so left them in their rock filled containers with the fountain tub drained and turned upside down over them to keep it from filling with snow in my fall clean up. When I turned it back up again this spring daylilys are doing GREAT and will live another season in the fountain. I am still working on getting the right base for my fountain!! Darn. Going to go look in just a little bit. I am HERE now and do not want to leave.:^))) Chris

Luscious, green if my favorite color. What kind of tiles are those and where can I get them? I have 3 BB's one of them needs green tiles.

I buy my glass tiles from Greeneglass on ebay the link is below. They have lots of different colors etc. My next BB is going to be Turquoise(-:

I just start putting my tiles on at the large hole and go around and around all the way to other end. I use the large hole as a guide. Once I get the first row on then its easy to follow at least for me anyhow(-: I like how everyone else does designs on their balls but I can't seem to get a grip on that yet. Maybe I will try to make one later. I really do enjoy doing the mosaic tiles though it is very relaxing and fun. I do fill in the other holes with spackling so its smooth going(-: I leave the large hole open so that if I want to set it on a piece of rebar I can. I am so glad I found this wonderful forum and all the great people here to inspire me to try making the mosaic bowling balls. I really love them(-:

Cindee, that turned out beautiful, and the frog stand is so perfect for it. I think as Spring progresses, it would be wonderful if you would just walk around your yard taking pics again, then post for us to enjoy. I know you have added lots of new things this past year, and I always love the way you display things. ;o) Luvs

I could print the picture and try counting, but it is easier to just ask. About how many tiles do you need to do a bowling ball? Saw your orange one and can't really decide which I like best. They are both great. I'm thinking maybe blue.

I bought 600 tiles and I still have a little bit left of one bag. They come in bags of 100 so I guess I will just have to find something else to make with all the left over tiles(-:

Cindee, that ball is prescious! My favourite colour is green - just might make one like your's soon.

Right now I am working on one with 6 little sailboats going around the girth of the ball. The sailboats are all done, and I just finished the bottom (ocean)of the ball. I will be starting to work on the sky top tonight. Hope to have it done by the weekend.
