My First Garden Totem

Hey There, I just joined Garden Junk and wanted to share a picture of my first garden totem. I'd love feedback from all of you pros!! Thanks.

Pretty. It has a delicate look like a dancer twirling.
I put mine that has a punch bowl base over a rock that almost fills the base for stability in the garden.

Very cute. I love the angel (?) on top, and the clear glass is one of my faves in the garden. It is so sparkly in the sun.

Its nice and straight. You did a much better job on your first than I did on mine. I'm still trying to fix how crooked it ended up being.

Oh that is good news for you, Marylee! We had some warm weather, then got nasty, cold & snow for a few days, then rain, cold & wind the last couple days...now a warming tread is coming. I have tulips, daffodils & crocus blooming...so our April showers should bring on more May flowers! Your yard sounds like a great place to GJ...I am glad you'll be out there soon! I am envious of "privacy fences"...that's why I decorate old barn doors & have them in my gardens! & Happy b'lated B'day! Jeanne S.

That turned out lovely! You should be proud of it. I was going to ask same thing as Jeanne did, did you hit save after you rotated it? I've never had a problem with Photobucket and used it for years. Sometimes when I rotate one there, in my album it still looks sideways till the NEXT time I open it. But its been rotated fine. I actually hit "replace original" instead of "save a copy", not that it matters. So, are you planning your next totem? The darn things are like potato chips. LOL. hugs, Karen

I found a small fish cup, so my copycat totem is smaller. Just finished putting it together last night, guess I need to wait a day or so to put it out - doesn't the geII have to cure or something? Wish my digital wasn't broken - actually, it isn't broken, but our computer is so old and so full we can't download any pictures - we have ordered a new one. guess then we will find out for sure if the camera works or not.

Looks very, very tall! It should look wonderful in your gardens...like the clear glass & whatever that is on the top...can picture pink or blue flowers dancing around the base! Great 1st totem! TFS! Jeanne S.

Well, I'm no pro, I haven't made 1 but I think your looks great!! Love the top[ & that is all clear glass all you need are flowers or greenery around it! Nice work!! Jan

You did great girl. It is stunning. You just need to be real careful, because making totems, can become an addiction in no time flat. Welcome to the forum, glad you decided to come play, be sure and show us your future creations that I know are already in the works.

You did a great job on your totem, looks really nice. Be careful, making them can be very addictive and glass pieces just start to collect in your cabinets waiting to go into the next one! LOL

Thanks all for the super support and great compliments. I can see that this can become addicting very fast. Already planning on what yard sales I'm going to on friday. I love seeing all of the things you all make, you are all so inspiring to me. I will post more pics of things as I go along. Thanks again.

WOW...I can't believe that is your first one. Its really beautiful.

Great composition and a wonderful collection of pieces! I bet it will look beautiful in the garden. You will have to take another picture of it when the surrounding plants/flowers are at their best. Great work on your first and I look forward to seeing many more of your creations!
