I love gardenweb and the ideas you obtain from great gardeners!!! Thanks for the ideas, they're great. Some of the other ideas from Garden junk were about the same, an outline for a small garden or a smaller garden within my larger garden. Originally I was going to use it as a surround for a small tree and plant flowers that would flow over. But then I didn't want to line it with landscape fabric or anything black. Another great suggestion was a border for a small fire pit. I like the thought of using it as a planter though because as Ingrid said, it is a perfect match with the walls I'm working on. This idea just came to me as I was outside with my rambunctious mutts.....since I am working on an English "style" garden and this piece kind of looks like the top of a castle (sort of with the knobby things), what if I use stones to make a circle planter....raise it higher than my walls, maybe waist high and put this piece on top, so it looks like a castle. I can then plant a rose or two that will cascade over. Any thoughts on this idea? What would be a good rose....seafoam?

I like the country style. So in my bathroom, I used an old Coke Cola wooden flat (the one that has the sections for bottles). I hung it on the wall. This is where I keep rolled up washrags. It is a unique way to store the washrags. For toiletries by the sink, I got one of those kitchen racks at the Dollar General. It has hanging hooks on it that is supposed to be for hand towels and oven mitts. It works great for holding a tin for lotions, and hair items. I use the hooks for my hair ties. I put a hanger on the wall made from a dall rod and that holds my curling irons. As for the shoe holder that you were looking for, they are super easy to make. Just get some duck cloth (it is stronger and has more body to it) and sew pockets on it. This way you can make the pockets the size that you need. You could also hang baskets on the wall to hold your things as well.

OMG, I can't wait to find one. I have to pick my battles with my DH. He is 32,000+ days old and still doesn't know what is junk and NOT junk. If I find one, I will surely need to get my brother to pick it up for me. He will have to put it in his basement for me to work on (that's why God made brothers). I already have a spot for it in our dining room. But that means I will have to put my china cabinet in the room off the dining room. And, that means the DH's ugly "Man" desk will have to go upstairs in our bedroom (another reason God made brothers). I have the same veggie strainer and rack (have glasses in it now, but that will change) as you have and a few more oldies but goodies that are crying out for this stove to show off. Yes show off!!! How did you paint the door and leave the wording? I love the color just the way it is, and agree with a touch of red such as potholders, pepper shakers or whatever. Did you paint the inside?
