I wanted to do something like that for my balcony to act as a screen between my balcony and my neighbor's (which is separated only by a railing). But I'm not sure the wood supports of the balcony above mine would be able to handle the weight. A very pretty and easy method of creating a stained glass window. Thanks for sharing!

Thats similar to the windows I was asking about last week...but it doesn't answer the question of what they used to attach the glass or if they poured something over it when the glass was arranged. Such a quandrey!

Marlene and others, I also love the look of stained glass on glass in the sun. I use either Elmers white craft glue or Welbond if I can find it. It takes several days to completely dry so the window can stand upright. The windows ARE heavy with all the additional glass. I prop mine on shelves inside a porch where the sun can shine through. I think some people use a lot of GE Silicone II (clear) on the window and set the glass in it. Others just use GE II on the back of the glass pieces and then grout. A search of this forum should produce directions even if the pics are gone. I've posted one thread that I found by searching the following:

I noticed several folks who posted her, asked what glue she used, but she hadn't responded yet. I keep checking to see if she does. I would probably just stick with the GE II that I use, it seems to work great for me. Sure takes the heat in Phoenix!

Also, what kind of grout do you use????

A lot of people over on the mosaic forum use Wellbond which is great for inside (dries very clear), but it doesn't last out doors, I believe. I bought some Mac Glue and my glass globs fell off a curved surface in winter, but I'm going to try again this summer so it will have a long cure time. Someone recently suggested using glass block glue/mortar/whatever it is called which is also clear and cures faster than GESIIw&d. That sounds promising to me cuz it must be made to withstand the elements.
