Blue Totem and Tea Cup Feeders

I made 13 more pieces this week (working through some sad times by being creative). We took these two pieces to Hub's Grandparents so I snapped a picture quickly before we left.

Bird bath flips over to create a cool mushroom stand. The birds prefer moving, splashing water from my porch fountain. So the concrete bird bath is now a mushroom perch for a large concrete cherib angel. Bird bath- Old unused muddy Freecycle aquisision.

The blue plates and bowl came from Dollar Tree. The clear glass, marbles, tea cup and little blue and cream vase came from Freecycle.

Vickie- That is a white ceramic bunny. Kitty cats are not safe around me. They are too quiet and I do dumb things like slaming the dryer door with 'quiet' kitty inside. Golden- I have never sold any garden things. But I began to wonder if anything else will fit. I sent a box of things (a totem, a bird feeder on a pole, a cake plate,and a plant elevating plate) over to my Mother in law. I have been so busy lately making things to keep myself from worrying about life's unpleasant times. I have just made too much. If I stop I'll start worrying. Hep me laud!!!! Susie

I used a pretty heavy screening that I had in the garage, and it held the sunflower seeds up. I just cut it to the size of the cup and pushed it in. You could prop a small can or something in the bottom and put a lighter screen on top. Just an idea. The birds empty the cup so quickly now that I probably don't need the screening!

1st, I'll be posting one of the teapot totems later today, just need to add the drips & final beading. THIS is my best one yet! 2nd, I'm fortunate to have a flea mkt right near me - auction every Wed. What doesn't sell is usually left for "free-time". Occasionally, someone will buy a whole row & I'll pay 25-50 cents for a teapot. (I get all my "junk" this way) The picture is not my whole stash, just needed to lay some out to get started. For totems, you don't need lids - that's what usually breaks & no one wants just the pot. 3rd, nonacook - I'd love to know what to do w/ lids too! I do have one windchime in mind.

Cait- The poles are metal sun tent poles painted white. If they rust I can replace them with copper.

Jeanne- I gave these two pieces to Hub's Grandma. But I have a couple more pieces coming.

The blue totem looks like it should be spouting water! Very pretty blues! You matched the blue flowers in the teacup so well with that vase. I was at a rummage sale at my friend's church where you could fill up a cart of stuff for $5. I got a bunch of the bud vases to use like you did with your teacup. They both look great! I bet your DH's Grandma was thrilled!
