Question about raised beds - overhead frame?

I have 9 raised beds and am looking for a universal cover system that would serve many functions at once. What I envision is something that I can attach to the frame of each my beds quickly and store easily when not in use. When it's up, I can use it for various functions, depending on the need - a cage system for tomatoes, a trellis for peas, a cold frame for early frosts, etc. I'm thinking of maybe a system of pliable wire tubing that forms an arc over the beds at regular intervals (maybe 4 per bed), that I can add accessories to for the cages and the trellis. In the fall or spring I can rig a plastic cover to it for light freezes. Has anyone seen anything remotely like this? I've come across a few with the plastic cover (http://www.greenhousekit.com/guarden.htm) but that's the easy part - it's the addition of trellises that is kind of stumping me.

Here's a pic of the beds, they're recycled plastic and are 4' x 8':

Any help (especially photos) would be greatly appreciated. This is something I should be able to build myself.
