Precocious Stella Cherry

Wondering how to visibly spot precocious growth. Supposedly one downside of GM61 (and other low-vigor stocks) when paired with a precocious scion and allowing an early heavy fruit-set causes runt out on the tree (when in-ground).

This container Stella in gritty-mix is on 3rd leaf, but suffered set-back of one entire season with no growth (that's another story). After heavy flowering, I removed about 1 dozen cherry fruitlets and left the rest.

Here is the trunk/base w/lower branches as March 14th starting 3rd leaf:

Same as of May 12th:

{{gwi:114712}}

There were only about a dozen cherries above the picture and the rest is all fresh growth.

Here it is now from a different angle (having eaten over 2 dozen cherries so far, testing flavor):

{{gwi:114713}}

Note: This isn't the same Stella with the bark splits.

It'll be upsized into a larger container next season.

Was this considered "precocious & early fruit set"? Would you have removed any fruitlets to prevent runt-out?

Or does it not apply since containerizing already prevents such or causes runting anyway?

Thanks

C4F/Chris
