Seed saving for first time

This is the first time I'm doing this, trying to save tomato, eggplant, pepper seeds.

Regarding the tomato seeds, I cut the tomato, got all the seeds and the gel in a sieve, rinsed it as best as I could, and put them on a paper plate, on the windowsill. Two days later and they are stuck to the plate quite well, as the goo dried.

Five minutes ago I read on this site, the way to do it with water and a cup, but now its too late to do it that way.

Are these seeds viable for next year? They are stuck on the plate quite well, I would need to scrape them off to separate them. Thanks.
