Re: Pachira Aquatica - will it be okay ?

I purchased a "money tree" at a local home hardware and it was way overgrown, I put it in a new pot with new soil and let it adjust to the lighting and humidity of my house, i fertilize regularly and when I was sure the plant was adjusted I lopped off the top leaves that where the largest as well as two that had began dying (they were dying in the store as well) new growth formed almost immediately, but i was noticing the stems were barren for about 6 inches, so when spring began i pruned them down to the base of the braid just so that it could sprout new growth that was hopefully fuller and more dense. I hear this is the way the achieve this.

All conditions are met fine, and the plant seemed to be thriving.

However do you think that this will be too much for the plant, or is there anything i should expect as far as care changes...
