Is my rose too close to my Asian Pear?

I have a medium size shrub rose, Bonica, planted 3 feet from my 5 year old Asian Pear Tree. I know now that's too close. The pear tree produced about a dozen fruit the last two years. I would think it would produce many more if it didn't have roots of another plant so close by.

Do you agree, move the rose away?

I don't have a lot of extra space in my garden but I do want to give my fruit tree the root space they need. What is the minimum amount of space a semi-dwarf needs? I try (without much success) to keep my 6 fruit trees under 7'.

Thanks,

Ginny
