Squash/Melon timing from bloom to mature fruit

chalkbrd

Although I grew up in a family with a very large garden every year, this is the first year I've done some gardening of my own. (Brutally hot, dry summer to start, right?) I have some spaghetti squash and cantaloupe in containers. They've vined well and bloomed like crazy, but all male blooms -- until just a couple of days ago when I saw a one-inch squash and the first female bloom on the cantaloupe plant. Can anyone tell me about how long it is from the bloom time (not planting, but actual female bloom) until the squash/melon matures? Fortunately I can bring the containers inside if I have to, but would rather leave them outside if I can. (Even if I only get one from each, I'll be happy. lol) Thanks.
