Apple trees & cross-pollination

We have an apple tree on our property that is about a tenth of a mile away from any other apple tree. Nonetheless, it still seems to bear fruit (but not of the best quality). However, it is closer to some other kinds of fruit trees (plum, peach, pear, and fig). Is 0.1 mile sufficient proximity for cross-pollination, or is there another explanation for why this tree bears fruit? Thanks for any info.
