A Garden Poem

Deep within the garden here,

there is a gnome who longs to hear,

the song of Junkers full of cheer,

the Jam that is indeed so near.

Fairies know it's time, yes true,

There's junk to send to friends like you,

They said our planting work is through,

Now is the time for Gardyloo!!!!

Boy, Kirk & Robert...looks like you both hit the JACKPOT..Miscellaneous assortment of mail and parcels piled in the aisle of a baggage car and requiring removal before the mail in the stalls can be "worked"...that's RR lingo! LOL! Looks like you've both kept that train a-rollin'! kirk...your blue bottle tree looks BEAUTIFUL in the snow even w/that "orange thing-y" hanging in it! LOL! Good to see JT pics, too! Looks like Campbell had a bear-able time! robert...nice salvagable stash, too! (>even though the pkg suffered a head-on collision! Vickie, You're good to go. :o) I've received several e-mails from people who have signed up, wondering if they signed up. :o) I'm glad I'm not the only one who is forgetful! Tenderlee, Yipppeeee! I am SOOOOOO Glad that all the items made it without damage! It was just too funny becuase the day before I wrapped them I had got all that packaging material at the hobby store my son patrons (and volunteers for free). They had just recieved a shipment that day and that was WAY too GREAT of paper to throw out! So, I'm sure it was really exciting unwrapping it all! :-) I'm so serious that it was so much fun looking for all those items. Some of them I already had and some of them I got real dirt cheap. I feel weird in that I was the first one sending it off. I thought there would be more...BUT, we still have a couple weeks. Thanks for posting a photo. Have fun deciding where to put it all. Awww, that is great, SusieRose. Love that Gnome!!! I figure he deserves a spot in our family album, especially as he can herald the arrival of gifts as each person gets theirs and POSTS PHOTOS for me to add to the album!

Hmmm, since I love this gnome, maybe I better save him to my files to someday cut out of wood and put in my garden.
And yes, according to Karen, "Someday" IS a day of the week.
LOL

Ah, Susie, thanks for starting this sweet post, reminding people of the Summer Junk Jamboree. I have been meaning to do so but with the end of a very exhausting school year, I've been working non-stop in my classroom. We get out the 17th. YAHOO! We go late this year as we have snow days to make up.

Anyways, GARDYLOO everyone! Carol and I have been plotting our gifts to our people! This will be a BLAST!

Thank you to all, like Susiewantsroses, Carol & Kirk, Purplemoon, etc., who keeps a poor, struggling straggler on-track of what's happenin' in our garden junk world. My ADD brain freezes up too often, even in this Texas heat!

Kirk, It seems like 1/2 the country had to go to school half of June. I knew that included you. Since you are still in the teaching mode you have to give me an A for enthusiasm (We wont talk about grading my spelling, deal?)

TooMuchGlass and I are "Gun Jumpers". We are chomping at the bit. Dancing around the fairie mushroom ring (I said "Dancing" not partaking). We have glue in our hair and wood stain under our nails. TooMuchGlass may even have welding blisters.

Got my GARDYLOO JUNK JAMBOREE GIFT wrapped yesterday. (Only because I had the extra time and the strong inspiration.) Now the trick for me is to get to the Post Office. For some reason that is not anywhere near any of my usual destinations. When I do pass an unexpected post office I usually do not have my packages with me. That is usually a good time for me to practice "My French" in the privacy of my car. But I want to wait until You and Carol say, GO-O-O-OO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been to a single yard sale yet this season :(
Still check out the junk stores when I go by, but busy busy on Saturday morns. DfosterD just got a new apartment maybe I'll try to get her to go with me on Saturday.

My gift was made out of junk supplies that I already had stuffed here and there. I collect stuff like a 'big rat' and pack it away until I can "git er done". Sometimes that takes years.

Toomuchglass has too many decisions ! I found one thing I thought was perfect - then I saw something better ... then I came across something EVEN BETTER ! ..... Oh geeze ....
I have to make a decision SOON !!! My swap partner might just get a boxfull ! LOL

PS ....... Still playing with the welding ... I have a bunch of ideas - just have to find the materials to do it with !
