Large trough hypertufa recipe

I want to make a trough measuring about 3'L x 1'H x 18"W. I have a styrofoam fish container of the above dimensions with thickness of about 1.5" which I intend to use as mold by adding hypertufa to the outside surface. Adding mix to the inner surface will render the finish product to have less planting space and look smaller for I wish to emulate a horse-drinking trough.

I would like to have a hypertufa recipe consisting of coarse builder's sand, Portland cement and coco peat. Can non-clumping cat litter be added for weight reduction?

Vermiculite, Perlite, peat moss and strengthening fibers are expensive imports. I live in the tropics with a variation of 10 degrees between night and daytime temperatures and rain by the bucketfuls.

Kindly help with points below:
1) Recipe.
2) Suitable thickness of finished product without use of strengthening fibers.
3) Will mold withstand weight of mix added onto the outside surface / can it be strengthened by packing the cavity with crumpled newspapers for instance.
4) Number of hours before project can be safely unmolded without damage.
4) Better methods

Kindly advice. Thank you.
