groundhog. .will the fence do the trick?

Hi all,

Our fourth groundhog has moved into the neighbors yard, next to our large garden. After trapping out 3 last year & relocating, we put up a critter fence (2 1/2 feet high chicken wire, buried about a foot underground, bent outward at the top about 6").

A young groundhog moved in several months ago, and hasn't tried to get into the garden--mostly he seems to like the clover in the yard. I found that they don't relocate that well, and I don't want to kill him--are we on borrowed time as far as this fellow getting into our garden, or has anyone found that having this type of critter fence will do the job? We'll let him stay if he doesn't get into the garden.

thanks to anyone with groundhog experience!
