If you would be so kind, I need help ID'ing these two houseplants. I've put them on the "Name That Plant Forum" but haven't been getting a lot of answers...

The first was labled as Gynura aurantiaca, otherwise known as the "Purple Passion Vine." However it's *not* that very common purple vine and it doesn't have fuzzy leaves:

The second plant is growing out of some kind of stange nut at it's base:
