A couple of finished items

Hi guys!

I am up to me eyeballs in stuff getting ready for a craft show that I am doing this coming weekend. I thought you might like to see some new stuff that I just finished. Please excuse the little crochet bears..they just wanted their picture taken...grins. I am planning on putting together a portfolio of the items that I do..the concrete, the bears, and watercolor paintings and wanted a couple of pictures to show them together. Actually I was just too lazy to take extra shots separately this morning. Hope you like the pics...Laurie

"Ladybug Parade" planter/trough...ok so what is the difference between a planter and a trough? Is there something that makes a trough a trough and not a planter...size/shape???

Laurie, very nice. I like the little bears also. In my mind I think of a trough as being square ,or rectangular, sometimes having legs.It will be interesting to hear everyones interpretations on it.Lovely colored sphere.

Phosphoric acid is used as a rust inhibitor. Check the paint removal section at Home Depot. I think naval jelly is phosphoric acid, but I guess a gel version isn't going to work for your purposes. Sulfuric acid is used in swimming pool maintenance, so try a place that sells pool chemicals. It sounds like overkill for grass, however.

Thanks, Socks. I bought the yarn a couple of years ago from Smileysyarns.com. I think it was 99 cents a skein at the time. Of course, colors were limited and I am partial to multicolored yarns, so I just had to buy some. Turns out that it is one of the softest yarns I've used, and I wish I'd bought more. I've since bought other colors on ebay.

Donna, you do such lovely work! Guess what... the center fabric in the bottom right block in the top picture with all the cats... I have the same stuff! I got it at a thrift shop a few years ago... I wasn't crazy about it (I need to see their faces and that doesn't have have faces) and still haven't found a use for it... but I had to buy it because it was cheap and had cats on it! Your mini-quilts are always lovely, and you're about to inspire me to try them myself... Bravo!

oh, Hazie, your stuff is ALWAYS so awesome. Everything is so perfect - the placement, the shapes, the grout lines, everything! You can certainly tell that you spend a lot of time doing it just right....I remember you saying you put in 100 hours on your bowl...and it really shows. I just drooled over the purple with the pansies....fantastic. I also did some major droooling over your purple bowl - I just loved it! And the other set is equally gorgeous. Your patience with using the BB's is phenomenal.
