Sounds like overwatering to me from your very brief description.

Overwatering is the one sure way to kill a Pothos; I agree w/ the poster above. Pothos need to dry out btwn waterings, mine always have & are fine.

As stated before, over watering is way more detramental to house plants than under watering. Over watering means the roots are wet to often and too long to take in any oxygen, which eventually causes rot. Anything, even cloth, if it stays wet too long will mold and rot.

I have a huge plain green pothos, I water it approx every other week or so. It's in a plastic pot, so it doesn't dry out very fast. Also, mine does best in bright (no direct) light, so it doesn't dry out as fast. I sets on an old crock, just off the floor, which is cooler temps. Hanging plants (which most do with pothos) means warmer air, which means drying out faster.

I think pothos are one of the easiest plants to grow, but my sis has a heck of a time growing them. But, she's an over-waterer too.

Thanks for your replies. I will reduce the water to see if it helps. As I said in the other thread, I will also use perlite. I was using Scotts Palm, Citrus and Cactus mix. The reason I was over watering was because I know this is a plant that can be grown under hydroponics. So, I mistakenly assumed that it cannot be overwatered.

If the pot is too large for the roots, it could be staying too wet like the other posters have stated and leaves have a little bit of a folded appearance, same thing can happen when dry for too long.
Give the roots an inch of room between it and the inside of the pot, keep it a little on the root-bound side. The soil should be somewhat airy and well draining, not heavy. Something like Perlite added to the soil which can help the it drain faster out the drain holes. Spill out any excess water that ends up in the saucer once it's all drained through.
Wait until your pothos puts out a good flush of new growth first.I would hold off on fertilizing. Feeding will not cure the problem.
Use diluted strength, not full strength.

If you had it in a fast draining open airy mix, it would be more forgiving..But because it is planted in that junky stuff that breaks down in less than a year, compacts, and suffocates your roots, you have no chance..Plants look good in the begining, just to finish out a year dead..
I would transplant immediatly..If you are afraid to do so, water it and see how long it takes to dry out.

Try and stick your finger through it, and see how difficult it is to poke your finger through to the roots..

I will never use that potting soil again..It has killed all my plants past, including my pothos over just a years times from transplants... Works well to start, then watch the quality of that soil mix deteriorate fast...I wish you well..

Thanks everyone. I will transplant to perlite. Should I use 100% perlite or should I mix perlite with something else ? Should I use any fertilizer ?

No, not 100% perlite. You just need well draining mix. I wouldn't fertilize it yet. Let it get back its health first. Only do one thing at a time and give it time to recover...thats the only way you know what works and what doesn't.
The problem isn't always in reducing the water, its watering less frequently with the proper amounts
