WANTED: spaghetti squash

Hello to all. I'm new to GW, and am looking for some spaghetti squash seeds,and other seeds/plant clippings anyone has to share. We have a new home with lots of room to grow stuff!

I have some really pretty little hot pepper seeds that are purple, as well as several vegetable seeds I can exchange, or would love to SASE. We are in northeast Louisiana.

Welcome to Garden Web.

I thought you might like to know there is no email link on your member page, thus no way to email you.

To set up your email, just go to the bottom on any page here, and click on Member Pages
Then click on Edit your Personal Information, Page, and Preferences
You will then probably be asked to login in again.
Then check the box Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site.

That will place a link on your member page, and will also show your email address to anyone you email about a trade.

Did you ever determine if it was a pollination issue? I planted S.Sq for the first time this year and I have one that is about 1.5 inches long and looks healthy. However, my daughter barely bumped it today and the blossom fell off. I wonder if it will now rot? How do I know if it was already pollinated? Do the little fruits show up before it is pollinated? How long to the blossoms remain on?

spaghetti squash and acorn squash ripeness test

I can't speak for Spaghetti Squash, but Acorn squash is ripe when it is a very dark green (most varieties), gets an orange spot where it was touching the ground, and is hard to dent with a fingernail. Acorn squash ripens fairly quickly, relatively speaking, and is not as finicky about being 100% ripe to be tasty (but does not store as long).
