Would love to find black and blue or blue ensign seed

I have a few seeds of:

salvia lady in red

subrotunda

cypress

yellow columbine

I've never seen seeds on my B&B salvia nor seedlings around my plants. I don't believe it makes any or very few. I've always just propagated mine from cuttings.

From our experience in the last few years, most of the Black & Blue plants sold in the major nursery channels are from tissue cultured plants. It appears that the mother meristem tissue stock has declined, perhaps due to being grown in vitro for too long. The result are plants that grow with far less vigor than one would expect from this clone. This seems to be a nationwide issue. We have sought out alternate sources for new mother stock, but to date are not convinced that any of the these are free from the lack-of-vigor we have documented. So the short answer is no, I don't know right now where a B&B of old can be had. We are still evaluating a few sourced outside the typical channels and may be able to offer advice later in the season. For now we are pointing people to other Salvia guaranitica varieties.

Peggy is correct. It hardly ever makes seeds. I found only 3 on my big plant this year. I traded them for unusual seed from Norway. so if anyone offers you(or anyone else) a trade of them be leery that they are not the correct seed.
Posting on the plant exchange in the spring is the best way of acquiring some. I got mine from a generous trader from Texas.

To who it may concern I have updated my member page for email. Last year I collected about 50plus B & B seeds and even wintersowed some outside and they did ok. You have to collect the seeds right after they start drying up or they will fall out. I became quite sick at this time so I didnt collect any seed this year. So anyone with any to spare would be much appreciated.
