What have the temperatures been lately? I planted three in containers earlier this year,a Silk Hope,an Illinois Everbearing and a Pakistan.Things are gradually getting warmer,it was about 65F today.Only the Pakistan has budded.The Pakistan and the Illinois are 4 to 5 feet tall and the Silk Hope a little shorter. Maybe it will take some more heat to get it going. Brady

I didn't think I'd have flowers on my 4th year Reliance. The flowers opened after the tree leafed. I had about 40 - 50 flowers. I was not convinced those few would result in any fruit, and yet I have 15 - 20 fruit, a few of which are probably too close to each other. Troman, it must be disappointing. I think you'll get fruit with patience. My tree was covered in flowers last year and only 10 fruit in its 3rd year. You have a young tree. You will get lucky. The difference between our climate here, and yours is about 10 degrees F warmer in winter, and about 10 days earlier spring. Have you tried growing Reliance? The sun doesn't shine on the same dog's rump every time. I am 120 miles south of franktank, but we are a Zone 4B probably because we are not as close to the Mississippi River Valley. "I'm going to be honest I have pear trees flowering right now and I'm dumbfounded by why they would bloom in fall even 1 apple trees is blooming and my friend is getting blooms on his blueberries. One of my olive trees has had blooms recently and now one of my peach trees is starting to bloom.No blooms on my pear or apple trees yet.I have been clipping off any new figs since mid August.I have been eating sweet ripe wild persimmons for about 3 weeks which normally would be ripe after the first frost in 3rd or 4th week of October.

might be.. but all you can do.. is give it more time.. and find out ... NEVER plant trees in summer .. when they are leafed out ... NEVER forget.. just because you buy it ... on impulse.. does NOT mean.. that is the proper time to plant it ... by september.. i used to have a hundred pots.. waiting for the fall planting season ... the urge to buy.. is always there.. but i increased my odds of success substantially.. when i learned about proper planting seasons .. only took me 25 years.. lol ken
