Just a question, you do know that onions are day length sensitive. Once the days get long enough, they start to form bulbs. If you are planning on those for scallions, you are fine. If you are wanting bulb onions, that would be a no-go. I can see that some of them are already forming bulbs on the left side of the picture.

Bringing them indoors won't make any difference. Onions are unique in their growing needs. In zone 7 onion plants are either planted in the fall and left to over-winter or in the late winter/very early spring (February here) and they are done now and being harvested because the days are getting shorter now as of June 20th.

Seeds are started several weeks before planting out time. I start mine indoors in December. The type of onion is also important and in most of zone 7 we have to use short-day varieties only.

Yours have most likely reached their maximum size although if you thin them out a great deal you might get a few of them to bulb up a little bit more. You'll want to do some research into how to grow onions for next year and enjoy them this year as bite sized morsels.

I just ordered a package of Walla Walla onions that I will be planting in about 4 weeks. They will grow probably 1-2' by the time it starts getting cold, and then in the Spring I will be digging them up and planting individually in their needed spaces. I'm doing the same with Garlic, but in 8 weeks instead of 4 weeks.

Long day varieties need to be planted as early as possible in the Spring to obtain sufficient growth prior to the longest day, when they begin to bulb.
Short day varieties need to be fall planted to obtain enough growth to make a large bulb earlier in the year when the days are shorter.
The dividing line between short-day & long-day varieties is accepted as 36' latitude, roughly along the Kansas/Oklahoma border. Long day are North of the line & short day is South of the line.
