HAVE: Red Malabar Spinach - Basella alba 'Rubra'

Not a true spinach, but the young leaves can be eaten like it. Mine weaved itself in the the marigolds and other plants.
"Thick tender leaves with real spinach taste. As opposed to common spinach, this tropical species thrives in the summer heat. Red veined leaves with purple undersides. Can be grown in a pot. Needs a support for climbing. Height: 1,5m or more. Young leaves are more tender. Nice in soups. Good ornamental plant too. "
